Link or unlink your social login

You can choose how you want to sign in using a social login like Google, LinkedIn, or Apple, or with an email and password. You can even use both, as long as the email address on your social login matches the one on your learning account. This guide walks you through how to link or unlink a social login and what to expect when you do.

Before you begin

If you link a social login, your learning account will automatically use the name connected to that social profile. You won’t be able to edit your name in your learning account unless you unlink the social login or update your name directly in your social account.

If you signed up with a social login

If you originally created your account using a social login (Google, LinkedIn, or Apple), you’ll need to continue signing in with that same method. However, you can also add an email and password as an alternative login method.

To add an email and password:

  1. Go to your Account & Membership page.
  2. Under "Log in with email," click "Set password."
  3. After setting a password, you’ll be able to sign in using either your email + password or your social login.

If you signed up with email and password

You can link a social login for easier sign-in in the future. Just make sure the email address on the social account matches your learning account email. Otherwise, the system will create a separate, unlinked account, which won't be connected to your membership.

To link a social login:

  1. Go to your Account & Membership page.
  2. Choose the social provider you want to connect (Google, LinkedIn, or Apple).
  3. Complete the sign-in steps through the social provider to link the account.

To unlink a social login

If you no longer want to sign in with a connected social account, you can disconnect it at any time.

  1. Go to your Account & Membership page.
  2. Make sure set a password so you can still sign in afterward.
  3. Click "Disconnect" next to the social login you want to remove.

Whether you prefer social sign-ins, email and password, or both, you can manage your login options anytime from your account settings.
